Description
Early Henry History and Family Folklore The surname Henry has several sources that include Ireland, Scotland and Norman origins. Variations could include MacHenry, MacEnery, McIinri, Fitzhenry and Hendry to name a few. My Henry folklore indicates our branch is of Irish descent. When our ancestors settled in Dufferin County, Melancthon Township they started to become easier to follow. So where were our Henry ancestors before they arrived in Melancthon Township I found one clue in William Jas. Henry born about 1839. In the 1851 census for Peel County I found a good match for William. Along with his name were his parents and siblings. 1851 census, Peel County, Chingaucosy Township. The following is a Henry family I believe is our family tree original ancestors.
